The Chosen

Have been watching the miniseries “the Chosen”

The part that I would like to touch on is when Jesus came walking up to the boat where Peter was sulking, because he hadn’t caught any fish. Jesus told him to throw your net into the water and Peter just looked at him with the look of Seriously? I’ve been out here all night fishing and have not caught anything. And now you think I’m going to catch something?

What did Jesus do? He just stood there and stared at Peter. He did not say another word. Peter got it, he through the net over the edge and we all know the rest of the story.

My point is this how many times does Jesus tell us what to do and then we question him?

Peter was so overwhelmed with the catch of fish that when Jesus said follow me. he didn’t even have to think twice. He just got out of the boat and followed.

Mat 4:18 — Mat 4:20
Jesus Calls the First Disciples
While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.

Remember, you have been chosen.
