Communion

When Jesus broke bread in the upper room he basically said that the one who takes this will betray me.

John 13:25-26 (ESV) 25 So that disciple, leaning back against Jesus, said to him, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

I wonder how many times I have taken communion and then betrayed Jesus. Even with him living inside of me, I have still betrayed him.

Thank you Lord that you are in the restoration business and you make me like new.

1 Peter 5:10-11 (ESV) 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 11 To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

g2904. κράτος kratos; Dominion. force, strength power, might: mighty with great power a mighty deed, a work of power

I am so grateful that even when I betray Jesus and Holy spirit and God that they are still for me they meet me in my darkness.

John 8.12 And Jesus continued to say, “I am the light of the world – whoever journeys with me shall not walk in darkness but will 1radiate the light of life.” (The word 1echo, to hold; resonate; in this case, radiate. Mirror Bible

In my darkness Jesus is making my father known to me. He’s showing me how to love myself how to change the way I feel about myself.

Thank you Jesus

  1. Ouch….this one hit hard. Thank you for the reminder. His undying grace and everlasting love continues through eternity even through our betrayal. If this doesn’t keep us on our knees, I don’t know what will. God help us all.

    1. It hit me hard too I never really looked at it that I betrayed Jesus all the time. And most of the time I believe it’s not on purpose. It’s more out of habit. Thank you for reading. Be blessed today
