As I wrote a week and a half ago, the city inspector came by my job, and I had to go pull a permit. I met with the senior building official and the plans and development department of the city of Fort Worth. That meeting went better than I could have expected, but it is what I expected. I had my permit within an hour . Which is unheard of . So I got my permit, and then I was able to schedule my inspection.
Normally in the past because I didn’t always walk in my identity this would have been a very long week worrying about all the things that could possibly go wrong with my inspection.
I requested a am inspection so I get to my job at 8:30 and I waited and I waited and I waited. Finally got word from the inspector at 11.45 that he would be there between 1:00 and 3:00. I said okay thanks for letting me know. Normally this would have upset me, but I just rolled with it.
The inspector showed up at one o’clock. I explained my story, and he walked around back and looked at the job. He said he was a framer for 10 years. I get it. I’m gonna go ahead and pass your framing and go ahead and pass your building final. You are good to go.
I told him I was very grateful. Thank you so much for working with me and I hope you have a wonderful day
When I think about how I used to be and how this would have just worn me out waiting for the inspector. It’s nice to know that I don’t let things like this get to me anymore that I can just walk in my identity and be Jesus with skin on.
Just be at rest.
Hebrews 3.14 Who we are in our 1union with Christ must be taken to its ultimate conclusion. Do not cancel out your confident start, by making a poor finish. (Starting in faith, then going back to the law of works. Again the word, 1metochos, is used, from meta, meaning together with, and echo; to hold; to embrace; we co-echo Christ in our union with him.)
Hebrews 4.10 God’s rest celebrates his finished work; whoever enters into God’s rest immediately abandons his own efforts to improve what God has already perfected. (The language of the law is “do;” the language of grace is “done.”)
Good for you
