Don’t believe the religion

How many times have you heard it said the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy. This is what the church has taught us over the years and this is a false teaching. This is religion.

Let’s understand something here for a moment. The enemy satan has been defeated, the powers and principalities have been defeated. There was a triumphal procession in heaven when this happened. satan no longer has access to God like he did before the resurrection. He’s done, he’s powerless. His lies are still out there and they can affect you if you choose to believe them.

Here’s what the scripture says that gets taken out of context so many times.

John 10:10 (ESV Strong’s)
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

The word thief in the Greek does not stand for satan it doesn’t mean satan. It means thief, it means false teacher.

g2812. κλέπτης kleptēs; from 2813; a stealer (literally or figuratively): — thief. Compare 3027. AV (16) – thief 16; 1. an embezzler, pilferer the name is transferred to false teachers, who do not care to instruct men, but abuse their confidence for their own gain.

What happens if you believe the false teacher?

The last part of the scripture is the best though. He came that we would have life and have it abundantly

Abundantly in the Greek means;. over and above, more than is necessary, super added exceeding abundantly, supremely something further, more, much more than all, more..

Eph 3:19 —20 (ESV Strong’s)
19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

Live the abundant Life today!

    1. I know I’m so tired of hearing about the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy makes me want to puke. You know that phrase started in the early church somebody just wanted people to fear Satan and this was a good way to get it going like I said you have to decide if you’re going to believe the truth or believe what you were taught. And if that really rubs you the wrong way then you need to ask why does that bother you? You need to ask what religious Doctrine am I trying to protect

      1. I wonder if there’s a goal in mind when people make that statement the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy. I think some people say it because it’s what they know it’s what they were taught and it is almost habit
