Indecision

James 1:6 (ESV Strong’s)
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

The word doubt in the Greek means. dispute,. to withdraw from one, desert. to separate one’s self in a hostile spirit, to oppose

Have you been in a place where you’ve had to make a decision but you put it off? What do you think the reason is that you’ve put off making the decision? By choosing not to make a decision you have by default made a decision. Are you putting off your decision because you’re afraid of what other people might think about you?

You know you’re hearing the Lord, but you’re waiting……….why?

You are applying the truth in your life but yet all of a sudden you’re not trusting what you’re hearing.

What if I told you that you’re indecisiveness is an active statement of unbelief? What we are really saying, “God, I do not trust you or your word enough to take any action. The resurrection of Jesus is not proof enough of your willingness to keep your promises.” Dr Richards. Heaven on Earth.

I basically saw myself getting backed into a corner this week. I thought I could fix it. I put off the decision that I needed to make Monday until Thursday. I had something that happened on a job Thursday that pushed me over the edge. I literally can say I was hearing the Lord very clearly on Monday but like I said I thought I could fix it. Well I wasn’t able to fix it.

It’s interesting that last Sunday was the day I started reading the chapter called the silent killer. The silent killer is indecision.

18 Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint,
but blessed is he who keeps the law.

I want my freedom/faith to not only take me out of Egypt. I want my freedom,/faith to take me all the way into the land of Canaan. I don’t want to wander around in the wilderness tormented by indecision and lack of faith.

When you hear what Holy Spirit is telling you. You need to act and if that means right now do it, if he’s saying wait then wait.
