We all have desires, but when we feel disqualified (lack) sin becomes alluring. We want to fill a hole that’s in our heart with something other than God.
There is no need to follow the flesh when our desires can be fulfilled by following the spirit. Holy spirit is where the game is.
2 Peter 1:4 (ESV) 4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
When you have an immovable trust for God and you depend on his promises. This makes it very difficult to get back in your flesh.
Take the focus off yourself and let God become your everything be spiritually aware. Be Jesus with skin on.
