Luke 12:2-3 (TPT) 2 Everything hidden and covered up will soon be exposed. For the facade is falling down, and nothing will be kept secret for long. 3 Whatever you have spoken in private will be public knowledge, and what you have whispered secretly behind closed doors will be broadcast far and wide for all to hear.
What are powerful Passage this is. It’s like if you’re walking around with secrets. Those secrets are going to eventually come out. The burden of carrying a secret can be huge. That secret could literally be the unforgiveness that you’re walking in. Or it could be something else.
I heard a statement September 2005 and it is stuck with me ever since.
You’re only as sick as your secrets. That has stuck with me forever.
That statement has caused me in a way to be an open book about my life. For me I think the lies or secrets that get exposed are for the most part my own doing. Holy Spirit brings them up to me. At that moment I have a choice.
Forgive or hold on to it.
John 20:22-23 Then, taking a deep breath, he blew on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. I send you to preach the forgiveness of sins—and people’s sins will be forgiven. But if you don’t proclaim the forgiveness of their sins, they will remain guilty.”
I look at what Jesus says in John and it just blows me away literally. He blew on the disciples to receive the Holy Spirit and then tells them to go and forgive.
If you forgive, how much easier would it be for you to live loved? If you lived loved, how much easier would it be to forgive?
