Yes He Did.

It has been a long week but a good week in scripture. I have been in Philippians 2:6-8 and 1st John 4. Now I finally understand why I can do things in his name because he did them first as a man not as God but as a man.

John 14.12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

Think about this for a minute, people will tell you Jesus was God when he was on Earth and he could’ve stopped things if he wanted to. I don’t agree with that statement, Jesus did things on Earth because of the faith that he had. If he was God on Earth then what chance do I have of Performing the same things that Jesus did? I’m certainly not God.

He was the son of man. I can’t even begin to wrap my brain around this process. I can’t imagine emptying myself of all my power and focusing on my faith to do what I needed to do. In essence though isn’t that what we’re supposed to be doing? Focusing on our faith so we can do what we need to do?

Phi 2:6-8
who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Oh but it gets better switch over to. 1 John 4

1 John 4:1-3
Test the Spirits
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already.

When I think about John 14:12 and 1 John 4 1-3 and Philippians 2 6-8 I believe the writers of scripture have made it very clear

There has been a heart shift this week because of this Revelation for me. Don’t take my word for it look it up yourself. Jesus came to this world and emptied himself and became a man.
