Unconfessed sin, A personal story

Tuesday was a very interesting day.   It was brought to my attention that I have been angry and reacting to situations instead of responding in a kind manner.

  I’ve been down this road before, and I don’t like it. It tends to sneak up on me and then all of a sudden, I am this angry person again. I think to myself how did this happen? I think the majority of it is self-induced pain. Expectations that I set that weren’t met. In other words, I set myself up for failure.

It’s imperative that every man or every woman have somebody in their life that they can trust besides your spouse if married. Someone that loves you enough that they can speak truth to you and not expect a retaliation in return

I had this happen Tuesday. Someone spoke truth to me, and I didn’t react because I knew it was true. I also typed up an email that I was going to send to somebody else about an issue that had been plaguing me.  I had somebody read it before I sent it and they said that I sounded bitter and I would advise you not to send it.  In a matter of 12 hours I was exposed to be an angry and bitter person and didn’t even know it.

I wanted Justice but I didn’t want Justice for myself.


Yesterday, I decided to forgive and move forward. I choose to send it away.


John 20:23 (ESV) 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”

Jesus tells us exactly what to do.  The word forgive in the Greek means literally to send away.

2 Corinthians 2:10 (ESV) 10 Anyone whom you forgive, I also forgive. Indeed, what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sake in the presence of Christ,
