My grace is sufficient for you

As I’m reading this morning I hear my grace is sufficient for you so I looked it up. Why is it that is the phrase we always hear, that’s the phrase that’s always quoted to us “my grace is sufficient for you.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (ESV) 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

This is not a post that I ever memorized or one that I’ve keyed on. But when I was reading it I got struck more by what it said in verse 10.  This also gets touched on in Philippians.

Philippians 4:11 (ESV) 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard people say when I’m weak he is strong when actually it says the opposite in verse 10

2 Corinthians 12.10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Jesus Lives inside of me, I am strong. I am a son or a daughter of the king.

I am as I ought to be the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus is perfect theology

Boast about your weakness so Christ May rest on you.
