I’ve been in the book of John chapter 17 all week, and this morning verse 4 leaps off the page. It’s funny it did not leap off the page Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday🙂 That is as far as I went. I immediately started to write.
After reading verse 4, I get this thought, Am I accomplishing the work that has been given me? Is what I am doing bringing glory to my daddy in heaven?
John 17:4 (ESV) 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.
John 17.4 I have caused your dignity and worth to be made renowned and rendered illustrious in order to become manifest and acknowledged throughout the earth by accomplishing the work which you have given me to do.

Am I living for Jesus? Or, am I living from the Jesus in me?
What does that look like? I think for me, I want people to see me the way God sees me. I want people to see the light of Jesus in me without knowing that’s what they’re seeing and getting touched, and changed.
People are getting touched and changed because I’m living from the Jesus in me.
That is glorifying my daddy in heaven.
My confidence is not found in me, but in your faithfulness.
