I love how the Mirror Bible translates these particular passages out of Philippians chapter 2.
I feel it is a great reminder of who we are and who we should be.
Don’t be selfish or self-centered.
Be Jesus with skin on!
Phil 2:4 To discover your own completeness in Christ frees you to turn your attention away from yourself to others! 5 The way Jesus saw himself is the only valid way to see yourself!
Phil. 2:14 Your entire life is a poem; any undercurrent murmuring or argumentative debating would be completely out of place! Do not let such issues disrupt the rhythm of your conversation. 2:15 Your flawless innocence radiates attraction as beacons of light in the midst of a people who have forgotten their true sonship and whose lives have become distorted and perverse. The Mirror version.
Be who you are called to be.
Isaiah 43:1 But now thus says the Lord,
he who created you, O Jacob,
he who formed you, O Israel:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
