How many times do you find righteousness through performance?
Galatians 2:21 (ESV) 21 I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.
I am grateful that I don’t have to perform to be righteous that I can enjoy being the new me and not be burned with the labor of becoming the new me.
Religion doesn’t renew your mind to a finished work. Religion convinces you that you must finish the work . You must always be doing instead of just being.

in a broad sense: state of him who is as he ought to be, righteousness, the condition acceptable to God
the doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God
integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting
in a narrower sense, justice or the virtue which gives each his due
