Righteousness it’s who you are, not who you need to become.
When you think about the caterpillar he doesn’t become a butterfly he already is a butterfly just in a different state. When we yield to the righteousness of God, already in us, it transmutes us to manifest outwardly what God has already made us to be inwardly.
Righteousness is who you already are. In the Hebrew “in a broad sense: state of him who is as he ought to be, righteousness, the condition acceptable to God.”
Eph 4:22 — Eph 4:24 (ESV Strong’s)
22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
