Hebrews 4.10 God’s rest celebrates his finished work; whoever enters into God’s rest immediately abandons his own efforts to improve what God has already perfected. (The language of the law is “do;” the language of grace is “done.”)
I love this passage because it tells me to stop trying to become something you already are in Jesus.
Righteousness: as it ought to be. I am qualified for the inheritance of the kingdom. I don’t have to do anything else.
Thank you Lord, that I choose to live the life that you purchased for me rather than continue to ask you to give me that life
