You are above!

This passage out of the mirror translation is a great reminder! It doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life right now. You are above it!

Ephesians 5.20 Because you are identified in the Name of Jesus Christ, you can afford to always overflow in gratitude to the Father, 1in spite of everything that happens to you. You are not under circumstances but above circumstances because you are in him! The Mirror

The relationship that you have with Jesus makes it possible. Abiding in him.  Not letting anything get to you but rising above everything.

John 15.4 Our seamless union, you in me and I in you, is pictured in the vine: the shoot cannot bear fruit outside of this union. In its abiding in the vine, fruit happens naturally – as with your abiding in me.

What is going on in your life right now that you feel you cannot rise above?  I’m here to tell you if you feel that way right now. That is a flat out lie. Because of who you are in him you have risen!

You are the righteousness of him!  You have been made righteous. The word righteousness in the Greek means (as we should be)

In a broad sense: state of him who is as he ought to be, righteousness, The condition acceptable to God The doctrine concerning the way in which man may attain a state approved of God, Integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting in a narrower sense, justice or the virtue which gives each his due.

This needs to get settled in your heart right now.

Today meditate on righteousness and being grateful. What does that look like to you?

One of my favorite renditions of this song
