When you are angry with someone it’s very easy to feel like the Lord is angry with you. When you are not loving people then it’s easy to feel like the Lord doesn’t love you. When you have bitterness towards someone it’s very easy to feel like the Lord is very distant from you. This isn’t because of what you’re thinking in your head this is about the footprints that are on your heart the wounds the pain.
John 20:23 if you forgive someone sins, they’re gone for good. If you don’t forgive sins, what are you going to do with them? TMB
Showing love and mercy to those who do not deserve it, is what love and mercy is all about. I think to myself who have I not shown love and mercy too over my life?
I literally just had a memory come up that just broke me from 20 years ago. So what can I do about that memory? What I will do is go back in that memory and reenact it in my mind but instead of being an @#& I’ll show love and mercy to this person and then I will be reconciled to the situation. Send it away and then put on God’s love. What if this person is deceased? Then you run through the scenario in your heart and you do what you have to do and then walk in peace.
Eph 4:22-23
to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
I have a choice and that choice is to walk in God’s love no matter what. No matter how bad it gets you have to love. The hard thing will be when you try to love that person and they spit in your face.
You have to get to the point where you have set your heart in motion to show love and mercy before you set foot out of your front door in the morning . You cannot wait until something happens you have to decide how you will react before it happens. Whatever that may be
