Search me Lord

Pursue connection. When you experience difficult emotions with others, pursue connection. When we feel rejected or forgotten, we tend to withdraw or blame. Jay Stringer. Chapter 13 Unwanted:

I find this very interesting, Jay says pursue connection. I’ve been meditating on this quote for awhile and I just realized not only do you need to pursue connection with whoever you’re dealing with. But I feel the first thing in pursuing connection is ask Holy Spirit what exactly is going on here? So for me, pursuing connection is twofold. Pursue the connection with the person but also pursue the connection with God first. God is all about relationships it’s who He is. He is the professional! The very answer that you are seeking will be with the Lord first. Just like the psalmist said in 139. Ask…..search

Psa 139:23 — Psa 139:24
Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

The word grievous in the Strong’s translates. h6090. עֹצֶב ‘ôṣeḇ; a variation of 6089; an idol (as fashioned); also pain (bodily or mental): — idol, sorrow, x wicked.

Interesting that the word grievous also means the word idol. Search me Lord do I have any idols?
