Feeling anxious

I wrote this post about 8 days ago and have just not felt like I was supposed to release it until this morning.

Yesterday I went through the wedding rehearsal for my daughter. And there were parts of it that were a little chaotic. It’s funny how you can let your mind just go places. I had so many different family members come up to me and said that the rehearsal went great you looked so calm. But inside my mind I was literally bouncing off the freaking walls.

My night of sleeping was very restless thinking what if I make a mistake what if I screw up. I know those thoughts come from my childhood and different memories over the years where I have screwed up. So this morning I just been sitting here thinking and then it dawned on me this post that I wrote a few days back.

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t tearing up at the love of God and the patience that he has for me to see him in the situation and not just myself.

Now I’m at peace once again.

If I am feeling anxious then there’s a really good probability that I don’t know who he is in that moment.

Now we’re getting back to what are you meditating on?

What are you focused on in that moment so you feel anxious?

A very simple question, Lord am I focused on you or am I focused on the problem? Where are you the middle of this?

I feel when you don’t see the Lord in the middle of your problem you’re being self-centered. The look at me look at what I’m going through. I’ve been praying but nothing’s changing.  You’re calling all your friends and you’re telling about your problem. Woe is me look what’s happening!

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4-6  Let no anxiety about anything 1distract you! Rather translate moments into prayerful worship, and soak your requests in 20gratitude before God! (The word 1merimnao, anxiety, through the idea of distraction, from meritzo, to divide. Your requests do not surprise God; he knows your thoughts from afar and is acquainted with all your ways; yet he delights in your conversation and childlike trust! Song of Songs 2:14; Mat 6:8) the mirror

Philippians 4-7  And in this place of worship and gratitude you will witness how the peace of God within you echoes the awareness of your oneness in Christ Jesus beyond the reach of any thought that could possibly unsettle you. (uperecho) Just like the 1sentry guard secures a city, watching out in advance for the first signs of any possible threat, your hearts deepest feelings and the tranquility of your thoughts are fully guarded there. (This peace is not measured by external circumstances, it is residing deeply in the innermost parts of your being. We are not talking about a fragile sense of peace that can easily be disturbed; one that we have to fabricate ourselves; this is God’s peace; the peace that God himself enjoys!) The mirror

I am ready to go! Hopefully I can make it through the ceremony without tearing up. When you tear up rehearsing the script in your office that’s usually not a good sign😂😂
