Wrote this last Sunday after the Tornadoes.
Colossians 3.4 When Christ who is your life appears, Then you also will appear with him in glory.p
I’ve been in this verse for a while this morning Breaking down every word that I can. My power is out No cell service either So I’m actually just reading in my Bible. what a concept😇
I find it so interesting that the word life In the Greek Is Zōë.
The definition of life in the Greek
1. Life A. The state of one who is possessed of Vitality or is animated. B every living soul.
2 Life. A. Of the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through him both to the hypostatic “logos” And to Christ in whom the “logos” put on human nature.
B. Life real and genuine a life active and vigorous devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, But after the resurrection to be consummated by new Ascensions (Among them a more perfect body), and to last forever
I never really understood how the translators come up with their translations. Sometimes I think there’s a hidden agenda🤔
When you take verse 4 and replace the word “life,” you use the phrase “Every living Soul.” This change gives it a whole new meaning.
4 When Christ Who is in every living Soul appears. Then you also will appear with him in glory.
Who is to say that my translation of verse 4 Is wrong? I’m definitely not a scholar or a theologian. I did not write the definition Of the word life in the Greek. It does though make more sense And it feels more exact.
I think it’s very important To dig in to what the words actually say and mean In the scriptures. You must know for yourself and not rely on somebody else’s opinion. Get settled in your own heart what the Trinity is saying to you.
Remember This is only my opinion And we know what people say about opinions. Everybody’s got one And they all………..
Colossians 3.11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, Circumcised and uncircumcised, Barbarian Scythian, Slave, Free: But Christ is all and in all
