For years I thought that being saved was something that I had to do. My thinking has shifted on the last couple years.

John 14:20 In that day you will know that I am in my father and you are in me and I am in you.

In that day it will come to light something that has always been true.  Jesus is in his Father and you are in him and he is in you.  The absolute most powerful day in your life.

Ephesians 2.8   Your salvation is not a reward for good behavior! It was a grace thing from start to finish; you had no hand in it. Even the gift to believe simply reflects his faith! (Again, as in Eph 2:5 Paul says, χάριτί ἐστε σεσῳσμένοι chariti este sesoosmenoi, “By grace you are, having been saved by the gift of faith; grace reveals who we are and the faith of God persuades us of it. It was God’s faith to begin with! It is from faith to faith says Paul in Romans 1:17. Jesus is both the source and conclusion of faith. Heb 12:2) The Mirror translation

Walk in intimacy.

Ephesians 2.9   If this could be accomplished through any action of yours then there would be ground for boasting.
