Chaos

The Lord called me away about 6 weeks ago to the mountains to Camp up in the wilderness. Angel fire to be exact.

Last night was a very hard night of sleeping. I have two sleeping bags and blankets but still got cold ended up getting up around 3:30 and getting in my truck and fired it up to get warm and before I knew it I was burning up. Go figure

I started meditating around 4:00 in the morning, I meditated for about two and a half hours. In the middle of the meditating I got a picture of the inside of my tent which is an absolute mess. And then I heard this “chaos.”

Proverbs 25:28 (ESV) 28 A man without self-control
is like a city broken into and left without walls.

I then realized, he is showing me that’s how my life is right now.  My office is in chaos, my shop is in chaos, my gym area is in chaos, the inside of my truck is in chaos.  Areas of my property are in chaos.

I chose this, living in chaos is my choice.

My Sanctuary is the inside of my home because it is clean and in order and I can contribute that to my precious wife.

I can honestly say there are two  areas in my life that are not in chaos. One area would my contracting jobs. Where there is a discipline  that I choose to apply that I don’t really apply anywhere else in my life. I did not realize that until just now.  The other is the inside of my home.

I did not know why the Lord was calling me away. In fact Friday I was beginning to think it was me and not him. I have learned over the years that when I think it’s me it’s always him.

I listen to some good teachings on the way to the mountains . some good worship music and got some good words. But nothing prepared me for this morning. The light has been shined on the chaos

It’s deceitful to think that you can be walking in peace and at the same time have all this chaos in your life.

When does a deceived person know he has been deceived?

When the Lord peels back the scales and reveals to you whatever needs to be revealed.

Isaiah 32:17-18 (ESV) 17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace,
and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.
18 My people will abide in a peaceful habitation,
in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

So this post begs the question to you the reader. Do you have chaos in your life that is causing unrest?

Close your eyes and ask Holy Spirit right now. Do I have chaos in my life?

I am grateful.

Matthew 11:28-30 (ESV) 28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
