2 Corinthians 10.5  Every lofty idea and argument positioned against God’s knowledge of us, is cast down and exposed to be a mere invention of our own imagination. We 1arrest every thought at spear point – anything that could possibly trigger an opposing threat to our redeemed identity and innocence is taken captive. The caliber of our weapon is empowered by the revelation of the ultimate consequence of the obedience of Christ. (The obedience of Christ dwarfs the effect of the disobedience of Adam into insignificance! See Romans 5:12-21.
The word 1aichmalōtizō from aichmē, spear and halōsis, to capture, thus, to arrest at spear point. Note, while the sword is for close combat as in Hebrews 4:12,  a spear is used long distance. Arresting thoughts that would wish to sneak up on you, in advance, while they are still hovering on the horizon.)

I personally believe that when the life Quake happens you have a choice you react or you rest in Him.
