John 15:5 (TPT) 5 “I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless.
I love how the passion translation lays this out because if there is a separation it’s on our end not his end
Remember he never leaves us or forsakes us.
If you are having a sense of separation it’s your own doing and you need to ask yourself what am I doing to create this feeling?
When you think about the times where you’re Knee Deep in sin and you do feel a sense of separation I think you also will have a sense of feeling powerless. I think it’s also very difficult to love well and love other people when you’re living in sin whatever that might be. I mean you can put on your game face and probably fake it to you make it. But you will be miserable while you do it.
John 15:9 (TPT) 9 “I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts.
Love well, that includes loving yourself well.
