Passing judgment

You know being judgmental really puts a lot of pressure on trying to be the righteousness of God in him. Being judgmental creates  stress.

Deciding why someone is doing what they’re doing without knowing the facts will always create negative feelings. It also creates the breeding ground for negative meditation and negative self-talk. Which in turn creates a Snowball Effect.

I have found over the years that when my life is in turmoil it is normally because I have passed judgment. Many times I don’t even realize I’m doing it.

For someone who has struggled with unwanted sexual behavior, I can tell you that being judgmental is far worse. Being judgmental is something that I have to watch out for every single day.

Psalms 25:5 (ESV) 5 Lead me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long.

When I get in these situations I have to stop and listen to Holy Spirit. It is imperative if I want to have peace. I can’t pass judgment and expect to stay in rest.

Stop getting ahead of the one who leads.

Colossians 3:15 — “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.”
