The Cardinal

I have a shop back behind my house. 36×48 with an 10 ft wide by 8 ft garage door. I walked into my shop yesterday and I have cardinal flying around chirping away. He is stuck and can’t figure out how to get out. I’ve shown him what he needs to do. I’ve gotten a big stick and tried to direct them towards the garage door, this 80 sf opening and he won’t fly out.

I get up this morning and go back down to my shop and he is still there. It’s obvious he is in distress, freedom is right there. I have even seen him fly in front of the opening and not go out.

The Lord showed me I can’t lead the bird to the door, I can’t force him out of the door. I can only show him the door and it’s their choice to fly out the door. I planted the seed it’s not my responsibility to water it.

So many people that are in bondage have the same problem, they hear of Jesus, they know who he is but they don’t know him. Therefore there’s no freedom. They are not aware of the Jesus in them.

The garage door to my shop is not that narrow but it’s narrow enough that the Cardinal can’t find his way out

John 14:7 (ESV) 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.

John 14:20 (ESV) 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
