John 14.1 1 “Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.
I remember the very first time this scripture spoke to me. I was on Quest 2008 and it was the first time I was going to get to lead some Ministry time. I was very nervous. So afraid I was going to mess up.
First thing I felt I heard was the Holy Spirit said go get alone and open up your Bible I have something for you. So I listened and did what I felt like I was hearing. I didn’t even make it to verse 2 all I needed was verse 1. I opened up my Bible to John 14:1 it was like Jesus said what are you worrying about I got this.
It was instant peace. It literally felt like a form of meditation. a very powerful moment, one that I will never forget. I remember actually having a countenance change and the evening went so smooth.
I have to ask myself, how did I know absolutely that was Holy Spirit speaking to me. Because sometimes I question what I hear.
What I am learning more and more through this journey, the more bizarre the statement or timing I hear in my head means it is the Holy Spirit. Especially if the statement interrupts my thought process on whatever I’m going through.
An example would be when you are asking Holy Spirit a question. And before you finish formulating the question in your mind The Holy Spirit gives you the answer.
Matthew 6.6
