I know what happened yesterday. I was angry.
I woke up yesterday morning in a great mood. The morning was good. Lunch with a dear friend was good. After lunch everything went downhill. Without going into a lot of detail. I was dealing with Google. Then I was having to deal with my ex son-in-law. I found myself having very bad thoughts.
I did not see Jesus in any of those situations but he was there.
I finally had this thought this is not who you are and you need to stop. So I did. Then this morning I realized after watching this little 30 second clip that Jesus loves everyone. It just broke me. Then I realized what was really going on yesterday. Then the Holy Spirit showed me.
I wanted to be in control.
The anger was coming from the need to be in control and I wasn’t in control of either one of the situations. I was not seeing Jesus in either one of those situations. I was future tripping.
I have noticed that the majority of my anger comes from not being in control of a situation and I want to be.
