When I think about this question, for me it is not an easy answer.
The obvious answer is, love is leading me to love other people well.
What else is it doing? I think understanding exactly how much God loves me, makes it easy to love myself. I want to look at my mistakes and think I am unlovable but yet God looks at my mistakes and loves me that much more because it’s completely unconditional.
Love is leading me to be a better husband, better father, better grandfather, a better listener.
Love is leading me to love unconditionally.
Ephesians 3.19 I desire for you to become intimately acquainted with the love of Christ on the deepest possible level; far beyond the reach of a mere academic, intellectual grasp. Within the scope of this equation God finds the ultimate expression of their image and likeness in you. (So that you may be filled with all the fullness of God! Awaken to the consciousness of their closeness! Separation is an illusion! Oneness was God’s idea all along! Father, Son and Spirit desire to express themselves through your touch, your voice, your presence; they are so happy to dwell in you! There is no place in the universe. The Mirror
Kee, thank you for posing this question and also listing Ephesians 3:19 to reinforce the message. I recommend “Gentle & Lowly” by Dane Ortlund as it is a fantastic presentation of the love and heart of our heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus Christ; backing his claims up with scripture.
