Hand surgery

I had surgery on my right hand last Tuesday. Cannot use it at all. In 2 weeks I have the same surgery on my left hand and also have shoulder surgery. So life is gonna be a lot different over the next 3 and a 1/2 months.

I went through shoulder surgery on my right shoulder a year ago. Needless to say that was not a fun experience. It’s easy to feel sorry for yourself it’s easy to take for granted that all your limbs operate to their potential until one of them doesn’t work anymore. Everything changes. The way you eat, The way you drive, just the way you move around and especially the way you sleep. I will have to sleep in a recliner for 3 months.

It’s easy to think that I have it bad…..that is the lie. Then I think about Nick Vujicic. He is the man that was born with no arms and no legs. He is a motivational speaker and a good one at that.

This morning I did my normal meditation but just couldn’t get quiet . Instead I chose to read.. I read my devotion and then it took me to psalm 34.

Psalms 34:22 The LORD redeems the life of his servants;
none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.

h5315. נֶפֶשׁ nep̱eš; from 5314; means soul

Many times we just have to be reminded of who we are and who he is.

Nick Vujicic

I leave you with this, if you’re thinking about how bad things are right now watch the video about Nick.

Today is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it

Have a Godfidence day today.
