A promise to believe

The last 6 to 8 weeks have been incredibly busy. So busy I have allowed it to get in the way Of my alone time. This morning I made it a point to be still and then I ended up with these scriptures . Sometimes we just need a good reminder. Sometimes you need words like this to to stay grounded.

I think with everything going on in the world right now , these are some great words to stand on.

Psalms 37:7-9 (NIV)
7 Be still before the LORD
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret —it leads only to evil.
9 For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

Where does your confidence lie?

Philippians 3:3 (ESV) 3 For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh—

Be safe and trust

  1. And this is what the morning sermon was on

    “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
