When you have been hurt

Unresolved pain, violations, offenses all these lead to one thing, bitterness of the heart. These things have massive destructive consequences in our own heart.

Jehovah Shammah. Jehovah is present Psalm 46:1 He will never leave us or forsake us you are in me and I am in you by Jesus. Hebrews 13:5 and John 17:21-23

The apostle John warns that when we fail to walk in love it violates our conscious, rendering us incapable of receiving from God. This is what makes you many times feel like you’re separated from God. But it doesn’t work that way, God doesn’t go anywhere it’s what happens in our own hearts that make us feel separated. When you get to this point oftentimes you are incapable of taking a hold of God’s promises and believe in them and walking them out.

Proverbs 4:23 (TPT)
23 So above all, guard the affections of your heart,
for they affect all that you are.
Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being,
for from there flows the wellspring of life.

The word forgive in the Greek means to send away. This is what needs to happen when you get to the point where you are feeling separated from the Lord. You need to ask what’s going on and then you need to send it away.

If we love every single person in the capacity that God loves us, it will be very difficult to carry an offense which also means it will be very difficult to have feelings of being separated from the Lord.

Gal 5:13-14 (Wuest – The New Testament: An Expanded Translation)
13 For, as for you, upon the basis of freedom you were called, brethren. Only do not turn your liberty into a base of operations for the evil nature, but through love keep on constantly serving one another, 14 for the whole law in one utterance stands fully obeyed, namely, in this, Love your neighbor as you do yourself.

Today if you recognize anger, bitterness, vengeance or in simple layman’s terms, if you got issues with someone, then you have a choice, either send it away or hold on and allow it to eat away like a cancer.

A very slow death.

Be Jesus with skin on.
