John 14:12
“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. ESV
The moment we stop seeing God in others we stopped seeing their value The moment we lose sight of the image of God in others. We began to devalue them and exploit them. I think this is one of the biggest reasons that people struggle so much with pornography. You just literally look the other way when it comes to seeing the people on screen the way God sees them. I can’t help but Wonder, what if you stop seeing the value of God in yourself? If you don’t value yourself then you will start having behavior that you think makes you feel valued but it has the opposite effect and that is called shame. That is my opinion of course.
John 14.12 I want you to be fully convinced about this, anyone whose belief concludes in who I am, will also do the works that I do. And because of my 1relocation to continue to be 2face to face with my Father, the works that the believer will do, will be of greater proportion and of global influence; the Father is as present in you as he is in me. (The word, 1poreuomai, to transfer, relocate, to travel. Again the word, 2pros, face to face. Jesus is multiplied in us.) The Mirror
You have it in you to do every single thing that Jesus ever did because of the power of the Resurrection. That includes looking at people and seeing them the exact same way that God sees them. How much influence would you have if you did this? What kind of condition would your heart be in if you did this? Love people.
Starting today send away all negative views of yourself send away all your negative self-worth. choose to walk in love and express value for all people. God is love and he is the God of all hope!
