I have thought about this for a long time but I realized most of the time my thought patterns are from old habits. Stuff that I think about that is not good. Many times I feel that we are quick to blame these bad thought patterns and thought processes on the enemy. When you read 2nd Corinthians 10:5 it doesn’t say the devil creates arguments in our minds or put these thoughts in our minds. It basically says that we do it. When it does happen, scripture says we’re to take that thought captive to The Obedience of Christ.
2nd Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. NIV
2nd Corinthians 10:5 Every lofty idea and argument positioned against the knowledge of God is cast down and exposed to be a mere invention of our own imagination. We arrest every thought that could possibly trigger an opposing threat to our redeemed identity and innocence at spear point! The calibre of our weapon is empowered by the revelation of the ultimate consequence of the obedience of Christ. The mirror version.
I think it’s extremely important to realize that the thoughts that you are having, They are trying to destroy your identity it’s like a warning shot across the bow of your ship you better start firing back with thoughts that are obedient to Christ
Stop blaming everything on the enemy.
