We were taught what to think

Through my studies over the last year I realized and have been told. That during school and college I was taught what to think. Nobody ever taught me how to think.

To sit down and actually think through the course of action, a problem, your work schedule all of that takes effort.

I had someone ask me the other day, I mean they literally asked me how do you think? It really caught me off guard. I didn’t have a quick answer. But I want to equate the answer to this…………

Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

I think for me a lot of times when I think it’s just like asking Holy Spirit. You need to think through it and listen. You need to slow down and it’s hard. We live in a day and time where everything runs so fast. You have to make a conscious effort to slow down and maybe even stop doing what you’re doing and just think for a minute. We operate so much from our subconscious that we don’t even realize it. 95% of our day is from our subconscious.

We would be so much better off if we could get it 85% to 90% which means you have to slow down and think. I can tell you from experience that if you’re not used to thinking it’s like going into the gym for the first time after 10 years and trying to work out, it’s not easy.

Here is a thinking question for you. Sit down and write out where you see yourself in 5 years. Personally, physically, spiritually and financially.

I don’t mean write something like. I’m going to be in the best shape of my life I’m going to know God better and I’m going to have a lot of money and I’m going to love my family better than I them today.

That’s easy, I’m talking about sitting down and think through it, seriously where do you see yourself in 5 years what does your life look like?

Have a blessed day!
