I don’t spend a lot of time in The Message Bible it’s not that I don’t like it. I just really spend a lot more time in the Mirror version, but today I saw a quote and it took me here to the Message bible. This is so good I had to share.
There is a saying that says everyone is a believer when you’re in a foxhole and there a bullets flying over your head.
Matthew 5:3 “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule.
Matthew 5:4″You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
5″You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
I believe there are days when we feel we are content with Who We Are. Then there are those days where we are not content and that’s when we seem to get in trouble. Anger, lust, vengeful, unforgiveness to name a few. They start raising their ugly heads.
Today I want to be content and I want to be a proud owner of the one thing that can’t be bought.
Today I want less of me and more of you in Jesus name.
