Heard a little nugget today thought was really good.
When you see the giant redwoods of California do you think they are competing with each other to see who’s going to be the biggest, the tallest, the most noticeable Redwood? Nope they just grow and that’s it. They’re not looking at the Redwood down the road that maybe had a sudden growth spurt or maybe its leaves are bigger and greener. Nope they just grow and they mind their own business.
There is no comparison.
The flowers of the fields they just grow they don’t worry and then they bloom.
2nd Corinthians 10:22 not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are committing themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding
So how are you doing today, are you staying focused on God or are you comparing yourself to other people?
Galatians 1:10 for am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.
