It’s easy to say that whatever happens in the election I will have peace. It’s easy to say that bacause Trump won. But what if he hadn’t? Personally for myself if he had lossed, it would have been a hard couple days. And I would be thinking about the next 4 years of what would happen to this country.
The Jesus in me however would not have changed. Life would go on. The other side would be gloating and that would be hard to listen to.
I have to remind myself that when things go awry or not according to my plan. I choose to not let them Define me.
However Trump did win and we should not gloat. As much as we would like to. The Meltdown on the other side shows how detached they are from the Jesus in them. That makes me sad.
John 14:27 (ESV) 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Colossians 1:27 (ESV) 27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
To those that are hurting. Here is what I can do, be Jesus with skin on when I come in contact with His children.
Speak Life into them.
Speak to there identity.
Love them well.
