Psalms 16:11 (ESV) 11 You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence, there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
During my meditation this morning, I hear a prayer in my mind. “Jesus, show me you so I don’t see me.”
So I’m sitting here thinking about that statement that prayer, and then I hear, “I will show you me so you won’t see yourself.” And then I get this picture of Jesus calling out Matthew in the Chosen. When he says follow me and he just stares at Matthew
Simon says whoa whoa whoa what are you doing? Do you even know him?
“YES”
Mary’s smiles, and I can’t help but wonder if she is thinking, “Matthew, you have no idea what you have just got yourself into.”
I love what I have gotten myself into!
There is something about Jesus calling you out. He pulls on Matthew’s Heartstrings.
