I heard a quote.
I grew up learning and thinking a language that had become so normal that when I read my Bible, He said, “I thought, I’ve never heard that before. I have never seen it in him. But yet it is so normal in my mouth. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want that in me now that I realize that.”
I’m pretty sure he was talking about religious doctrines and things that the church has said and taught us over the years that is false, but for me it was something else.
Ephesians 4.29 Instead of cheap talk, your mouth is now a fountain of grace, giving encouragement and inspiration to everyone within earshot.

I got convicted about my language and how, over time, I began talking like a sailor again. I have allowed curse words to creep back in. It became normal way. I got so convicted that I just stopped cursing. This happened last Thursday morning during my meditation time.
Now, even though I’ve been convicted, there is also the habit. There are situations that trigger me to say the curse word. Being around certain people. getting angry about religious doctrine and telling certain kinds of jokes. The deal is that I’m a son of God, and the habits will get broken. So, just like anything, you have to be aware of your surroundings and your triggers.
Ephesians 4:29 (AMP) 29 Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].
