Abide in me

I get a text this morning about rain. It made so much sense, rain is indiscriminatory. It falls on bad people, it falls on good people, it falls on lonely people, it falls on Happy people, it falls on angry people. The list could go on. That is how we’re supposed to love every single type of person deserves our love whether we think they do or not.

Jesus abides in me and I abide in him, I am the righteousness of him in God, I have the inheritance, I am sitting at the right hand of the throne of God. Why do you suppose it is so hard to love certain people and so easy to love others?

In the chosen Simon ask Jesus why are you asking Matthew to join us? That’s basically what he’s saying. Simon says whoa whoa whoa do you know what he has done he’s a tax collector? Jesus looking at Simon and said I chose you didn’t i? Then Simon makes the excuse we all make, that’s different! And Jesus says “get used to different.” Of course that’s my rendition of the scene here’s a link to the actual scene and it’s much better

Jn 15:4 — Jn 15:5 (ESV Strong’s)
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
