John 13.28 Even now the other disciples did not suspect Judas in the least. (Amazing how Jesus never treated Judas any differently even though he knew that he was stealing money from them.)
When I think about the caption that says “Jesus never treated Judas differently.” This is a hard one, because even though I believe that I don’t treat people differently. Well, I do, There is something that Jesus Does that I don’t always do. That is to love people where they are not where I want them to be. You could say there are people out there that I love with conditions…..
I believe we all have people that we treat differently from the way Jesus would treat them. From that comes the phrase ….
What would Jesus do?
I think a real common case in point would be someone that you have unforgiveness towards. They hurt you, they betrayed you, I personally don’t know what they did to you. But you are not treating them the way Jesus would. You are not showing them or giving them Grace. In fact you might be doing things to spite them. How do you ever expect there to be reconciliation if you choose to not love them as Jesus Does
Jesus says in Matthew if you do not forgive your brother, how can God forgive you? Matthew 6.15. I think about this passage and I think of separation. Not only am I walking in un- forgiveness. I have also created a separation…… I have driven a wedge between myself and God. Now that relationship is also suffering.
This is not something that I or you want to experience. You want to experience the life Jesus purchased for you!
Mat 22:37 — Mat 22:40
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
