Jesus heals the paralytic”
Mat 9:1 — Mat 9:9
Jesus Heals a Paralytic
And getting into a boat he crossed over and came to his own city. And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.” And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man is blaspheming.” But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he then said to the paralytic—“Rise, pick up your bed and go home.” And he rose and went home. When the crowds saw it, they were afraid, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
I have watched a lot of shows about Jesus but I don’t believe any of them have moved me like this one has.
God has given us the ability to choose for ourselves whether or not we will love him and serve him.
How much Faith do you have to have if you have never walked in your life and Jesus tells you to get up and go home?
I can’t help but wonder if any thoughts were running through the paralytics head of, I haven’t walked my whole life Are you seriously telling me to get up? do you see me here lying here?
Jesus tells him one time and then just stares. He then gets up with overwhelming gratitude and hugs Jesus and walks away.
I wonder how much fruit his choices will bring in the days moving forward.
Has Jesus asked you to do something and He is just staring at you waiting?
