Personally I have sought out wise counsel many times. Scripture says seek out wise counsel.
Proverbs 19.20 Listen to counsel and accept discipline, That you may be wise the rest of your days.
How many times do we seek out wise counsel instead of just asking the Lord?
Is it because we’re hoping from the wise counsel that we’re going to hear what we want to hear?
Maybe if we ask the Lord he’s going to give us an answer that we don’t want to hear, so we ask others instead. Maybe there is a fear there, I don’t know.
John 5:44 How is it possible for you to even venture into the dimensions of faith, if you already have your minds made up to go with popular opinion within your own ranks, while you show no desire to esteem him who proceeds directly from God?
There is a decision that needs to be made and you’re asking everybody what you should do.
Maybe you should be asking the Lord?
To Him goes to glory!
You can’t go wrong when you hear from the Lord!
