Proverbs 29.18. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. NKJV
Proverbs 29.18. Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction. NLT
Praying out in my driveway this morning I hear the “words where there is no vision the people perish.” Honestly at that time I didn’t even know where that scripture was in the Bible. So I looked it up. There is a lot of wisdom and that Proverb 29.
One of the questions raised in the 4pillars program is where do you see yourself in 3 months, 6 months, and one year. That is not an easy question.
The next question is what do you have to do to achieve the goals that you have set for 3 months, 6 months and 1 year.
Where there is no vision the people perish.
Right now I do have a vision I just don’t have it written down so by not writing it down I think it makes it easy for the vision to wander. One week I’m thinking this, the next week I’m thinking that.
So when I think about that statement I think to myself I have to be locked in to the vision that the Lord has given me. Lots of companies have mission statements but I think personally maybe we need to have a vision statement to go along with it.
So I’ll leave you with these questions.
Where do you see yourself in 3 months?
Where do you see yourself in 6 months?
Where do you see yourself in 1 year?
If you have not written them down, I would venture to guess that most likely you have not written down what you need to do to get there either.
Are you just hoping that the stars are going to line up and everything’s going to work out?
What is the vision that God has given you but because of fear you’re not moving forward.
If nothing changes, then nothing changes
