Are you on the right?

Mat 25:34 — Mat 25:35
Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,

When I think about this passage and the guy I drove by on the highway the othet day who had a flat and I didn’t offer to help him or a couple weeks ago when I drove by the guy who was carrying a gas can. I was in too much of a hurry to stop and help him along with the other probably thousands of people that passed him. This makes my heart hurt.

For me this is pure selfishness.

These are opportunities to bring value in serving another human being. Someone who is hurting. I shouldn’t pick and choose who I want to help.

Matthew 25:40
And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’

This last verse 40 really penetrated the heart this morning. Isn’t that Who We Are? Isn’t this what we as Believers are all about?

I have to get out of the mindset of picking and choosing who I want to help. My prayer is that the Lord will put somebody in front of me that’s going to inconvenience me so I can help them to feel valued and loved.

I choose to be on the right side of the King
