Two men looked out from the walls of the prison bars one saw Mud, and the other saw Stars.
It is all about perspective. Maybe you have something going on right now where you can’t improve the circumstances, but you can improve yourself and your attitude.
If your circumstances constantly get you down, then maybe it’s time for a change not in your situation, but in your attitude. If you can learn to make the best of any situation, you can remove a formidable obstacle that stands between you and your dreams. John Maxwell failing forward.
I think we get stuck and we’re always looking at the mud and not the Stars. What is the bigger picture? Why does what happened hurt so much? What kind of filter am I looking through to observe the situation that I am in?
What can I do in this situation that would give me a better result than what I am currently doing??
Pro 3:3-8
Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you;
bind them around your neck;
write them on the tablet of your heart.
So you will find favor and good success
in the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh
and refreshment to your bones.
The quality of your life depends on the quality of the questions you’re willing to ask yourself. Socrates
