We had men’s group tonight at my house. We meet every Wednesday night and it is always good. We have about five to six that meet. We get in each other’s stuff. No posing allowed. Good shot in the arm tonight. Sometimes you just need to confess so you can be healed. James 5:16
Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].AMP It is amazing that when you do what the Word of God tells you to do then his promises come. I confessed rebellion, got prayed over by righteous men and got healed. It is not that I don’t know what to do …. It is that I don’t do it. I don’t have a knowledge problem I had a rebellion problem. He who knows what to do and does not do it, that is sin to him. (Not my favorite scripture) We finished up the night with this scripture out of the Amplified Bible. Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am. I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want. I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].AMP So I have two questions for you. Are you content? Have you confessed and got prayed over and healed?
We talked about attitude tonight. I have to confess that my attitude has not been good lately.
